Hi there! I'm Rafay, a grade 12 student at White Oaks Secondary School with an aspiration to study engineering/business.
I'm a Grade 12 student at White Oaks in Oakville, Ontario. At school I'm the Student Council Prime Minister, and I also compete in DECA, where a top-9% finish in Ontario sent my partner and me to internationals.
Most of what I do outside class comes back to the same two interests: building useful tools, and leading groups of people to support important causes. I co-founded YMG, a youth-run nonprofit that raises money for causes across the GTA: food and toy drives, support for women's shelters, and help for families facing poverty. As a Youth Lead with the Halton chapter of The Citizens Foundation, I've led a team of over 60 people across the Greater Toronto Area to raise more than $160,000 for schools in Pakistan. I also helped run Oakville Code Club, a program that taught kids aged 8 to 12 the basics of Python.
